We have looked at research around the effects of homework on pupils’ learning and considered different approaches before designing our homework timetable. We have tried to create a model which covers the whole curriculum over a two week period but does not overburden pupils in their valuable free time. The homework will be short tasks which will endeavour to consolidate learning which has taken place in class, practice a skill or prepare for learning which is about to happen in their forthcoming lessons.
