Guidance for non-uniform days and charity events

We expect all students to dress in a manner that is safe, respectful, and appropriate for a professional school environment.

Unacceptable Attire

To ensure clarity for students and parents, the following items and styles are strictly prohibited on non-uniform days:

  • Cropped Tops / Exposed Midriffs: Tops must cover the torso fully. Stomachs, waistlines, and midriffs must not be on display, even when moving or sitting.

  • Vest Tops / Strapless Tops: Tops must have adequate shoulder coverage. Vest tops, spaghetti straps, halter necks, and strapless tops are not permitted.

  • Inappropriate Length Shorts or Skirts: Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be of a reasonable and modest length. As a general benchmark, these items should sit no higher than mid-thigh. Very short shorts or micro-skirts are not acceptable.

  • Offensive Graphics or Slogans: Clothing featuring inappropriate language, political statements, violence, drug/alcohol references, or offensive imagery is strictly forbidden.

  • Inappropriate Footwear: For health and safety reasons, flip-flops, sliders, very high heels, or backless shoes are not allowed.

  • Jewellery & Makeup: Makeup must not be worn on non-uniform days, however, jewellery may be worn as long as it is appropriate for lessons in school, such as PE and DT, and can be easily removed if asked to do so.

A Note on Presentation:

Underwear must not be visible at any time and clothing should not be excessively ripped or revealing.
